Founded in 1995 by Benito Luna, BLS Painting has grown from a small subcontracting team to one of Austin’s premier boutique painting firms. Our team combines decades of experience with a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship. We focus on careful preparation, detailed work, and timely service to ensure every project exceeds expectations. Benito Luna
Founder
Benito holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the prestigious Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, recognized as the oldest university in North America. After completing his education, he commenced his professional journey with the police department in Mexico City. In the early 1980s, Benito relocated to the United States, where he discovered a profound passion for custom home painting. Since then, he has successfully painted some of the most distinguished homes in Austin and has mentored numerous painters who have since ventured into the competitive landscape.
As a dedicated family man, Benito has three children and seven grandchildren. He enjoys embarking on road trips, making it a point to explore various destinations across the United States whenever possible.
Currently, Benito remains actively engaged at BLS Painting, contributing to our Painter’s Academy. He oversees daily operations at our facility, as well as managing our fleet of vehicles and the maintenance of our tools.
Erick Luna
Vice President
Erick holds the position of Project Manager and Vice President, bringing extensive experience and a strong educational background to our organization. He possesses a diverse academic portfolio, having earned three associate degrees in accounting, marketing, and construction management from ACC. He subsequently enhanced his qualifications by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Edward’s University. Additionally, he has acquired numerous certifications from St. Edward’s University and the University of Texas at Austin in areas such as project management, leadership, data analysis, conflict resolution, public speaking, and many others.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Erick is devoted to his family and is frequently seen transporting his four children to their various activities. His children demonstrate remarkable achievements both academically and athletically, and he is a consistent presence at their events, often volunteering for school field trips. Furthermore, Erick actively contributes to his community through his involvement with Santa Cruz Catholic Church and School, participating in several administrative committees and councils focused on fostering parish growth.
In his multifaceted role, Erick oversees marketing, estimates, and project management, playing a crucial role in driving the overall success of our company.
